Although known in South America as Jatoba, Brazilian Cherry Hardwood is a hard and durable flooring. Open-grained like Oak, but more than twice as hard, this wood features dark brown or black streaks contrasting with a background that ranges from dark orange to reddish brown. This Exotic Flooring darkens in color after several months of installation and use.

Much like domestic cherry this product will change dramatically over time from the yellow/tan/salmon color when freshly milled into a deep rich reddish color. In direct sunlight, the color change will occur within a few days. Out of sunlight, it will oxidize slowly over six months.
